There is a video on the Internet titled, “The Battle at Kruger.”  In this video there is a herd of water buffalo in the African wild approaching a pond for some refreshment.  Off to the side there is a pride of lions crouching and waiting to make their move on the herd.  The herd migrates closer and closer to the lions until all of a sudden one buffalo spots the lions.  He turns and runs and the herd follows.

The lions pursue the herd and find a straggler.  There is a baby buffalo that falls behind and becomes the focus of the lions’ aggression.  The lions tackle this little guy into the water.  They get him under control and begin to drag him out of the water when a crocodile latches on to his leg.  It is now a tug of war between the lions and the crocodile.

The lions finally pull him free and onto the shore.  Meanwhile the herd of buffalo discovers the little guy is missing and returns to help.  The herd surrounds the lions and they begin to remove the lions one by one.  Finally, the baby buffalo is freed and the lions are chased off.

Don’t worry I didn’t ruin the video, if you decide to view it you will still be amazed.  The reason I told you all of this is that this video exemplifies the strategies of a fight.  There are three and they are offence, defense and to remain neutral.  We are familiar with what these three words mean already but this chapter will relate them to a fight and give you the knowledge to determine what strategy is best for the moment.
